While cleaning out my offie, I found this Herald newspaper from Everett Washington, October 4, 2003. The cover the story is about the first ever home opener of the brand new WHL Everett Silvertips hockey team. The cover states "A sellout crowd of 8,250 welcomes the expansion hockey team to its new home in the Everett Events Centre". I was one of those 8,250 fans at the game. And what's really cool is that newspaper with the photo of the crowd from the game was given to every person as we left the event centre. Pretty cool to get handed a newspaper as you leave the game, with a photo of you at the game!
